The Polish provisional government is showing indications of its more liberal policy toward the Jewish population. Deputy Hartglass, president of the Club of Jewish Deputies, has been notified by the Minister of Justice Makowski that during the last few days he has nominated 12 Jewish court applicants, candidates for admission to the bar.
The Minister of Education Mikalowski-Pomorski. permitted the students of the Hebrew high school, Jabneh, to take the state examinations in the Hebrew language. An examining commission has already been appointed.
Recognition to the provisional Polish government came today from the vatican when Cardinal Kakowski transmitted a message of blessings from the Pope to Pilsudski, expressing wishes for a brilliant future for the Bartel government.
