A draft of a bill to prohibit the schechita in Prussia was rejected by the agricultural committee of the Prussian Diet today.
The bill was sponsored by the deputies representing the anti-Semitic voelkische party. The committee expressed its desire to obtain accurate data on the number of animals slaughtered according to the Jewish ritual and the number of families who demand kosher meat, in proportion to the general Jewish population.
