The third annual conference of the Federation of Jewish communities in Prussia ended here yesterday with little progress made toward unity among the various factions represented in the Federation.
The conference lasted two days and was the scene of stormy debates between the Liberals and the Zionists. The Liberals gained a majority which elected Dr. Stern, a Liberal, as president of the Federation.
Many of the proposals of the Zionist delegates, aiming to place East European Jews resident in Prussia on an equal basis in the Federation with German Jews, were rejected.
