A series of anti-Jewish excesses have occurred the last few days in the Polish part of Upper Silesia formerly belonging to Germany, according to reports of provincial newspapers in prussia. Buk, Neutomischel, Culm and Wronke are among the places mentioned in the dispatches where anti-Jewish attacks are alleged to have occurred. The reports add that the Jews are constantly being threatened by anti-Semites and that anti-Jewish placards are prominently displayed throughout the country.
The Breslauer Zeitung reports twenty soldiers in uniform invaded the Synagogue at Beuthen during divine services, with the intention of attacking the Jewish worshippers. The attempt having miscarried because of police intervention, the hooligans the same night threw hand grenades in the Jewish cemetery demolishing tombstones of the graves of dead soldiers.
