A request that government lands in Palestine be assigned for Jewish colonization was voiced here today in a resolution adopted by the Palestine conference of the Agudath Israel, extreme Orthodox Jewish organization.
The conference decided to help the other Jewish political parties in their fight against the proposed establishment of a Legislative Council in Palestine. This decision makes it clear that while there is a difference of opinion between the Agudath Israel and the Zionist Organization with regard to other matters pertaining to Palestine, no such difference of opinion exists on the question of fighting the establishment of a Legislative Council as proposed by the government.
The other resolutions adopted at the conference demand:
1) Abolition of the existing restrictions against the immigration of clergymen.
2) The granting of more immigration certificates for members of the Agudath Israel.
3) The expansion of their Keren Hayishub activities in Palestine.
