Alfred W. Noreck, head of the publishing company which issues The Day, the New York Yiddish daily, died Sunday afternoon at Beth Moses Hospital in Brooklyn, at the age of thirty-eight His death is believed to have been hastened by his distress at the plight of the Jews in Germany, for following the Madison Square Garden protest meeting, he suffered a relapse; he had undergone an operation a year ago.
