Copies of the magazine, “Scoop” which had been accused of injecting anti-Semitism into the Boston municipal elections by its attacks on Lee Friedman, a candidate for the City Council, and on the New Boston Committee, have been withdrawn from circulation, according to a statement made by its publisher, Leo D. Walsh, to the Jewish Community Council.
The publisher declared that there was “no intention on my part to discriminate against any group.” He said he was determined “not to publish any periodicals in the future which may be interpreted as offensive to any group.”
