Not wishing to mar his pleasure trip in the United States, Ernst “Putzy” Hanfstaengl today announced that he will not accept the invitation of the American Inquiry Commission to testify at its hearings on Nazi atrocities.
The Nazi press chief and midnight Hitler pianist, who is staying at the home of Louis Agassiz Shaw here, said that he will occupy himself with aquatic sports before he sails for Germany and his dear friend Adolf. He hinted that he may visit Canada before leaving American shores on July 8.
