The Turkish Embassy in London today informed the Jewish Telegraphic Agency that the Turkish government “learning that totally misguided local measures having caused a number of Jewish citizens to leave their homes in certain provinces and go to Istanbul, immediately ordered those responsible to be tried. The government informed the deportees that they could return home immediately. The entire question is now closed.”
