Justice Joseph M. Proskauer, of the Supreme Court, was installed as president of the Young Men’s Hebrew Association Sunday night with ceremonies in the association building at Lexington Avenue and Ninety-second Street. Sol. M. Stroock, who retired at head of the Y. M. H. A. to become president of the Federation for the Support of Jewish Philanthropic Societies, was chairman of the meeting.
Addresses were delivered by Judge Irving Lehman, Felix M. Warburg, Assistant Corporation Counsel M. Baldwin Fertig. and Isidore Feil.
Contributions of $50,000 for the new synagogue of the Ohab Zedek Congregation, at 118 West Ninety-fifth Street. New York, the cornerstone for which was laid on Sunday afternoon, were announced.
