Rabbi Ahron Soloveichik, one of the world’s foremost Talmudic scholars, died last Friday at 84 in Chicago, where he was dean of the Brisk Yeshiva. He is to be buried in Israel on Monday. Soloveichik was part of a family of distinguished rabbis stretching back more than 200 years.
