The National George Washington Bi-Centennial Commission, which is planning a nation-wide celebration of the first president’s birthday in 1932, has indorsed the movement to purchase the George Washington boyhood home, Ferry Farm, across the Rappahannock River from Fredericksburg, and to restore and preserve it as a shrine for the youth of America. Rabbi E. N. Calisch of Beth Ahabah Temple, this city, is a member of the Virginia Committee of the National George Washington Bi-Centennial Commission.
