A special service honoring the 80th birthday of Dr. David Philipson of Cincinnati, Ohio, Dean of the American Liberal Rabbinate, will be held at the Reform Temple Beth Israel here tomorrow morning. Dr. Philipson is the only living member of the first graduating class of Hebrew Union College. He is the author of a number of books, and recently published his autobiography “My Life As An American Jew.” For fifty years he served as Rabbi at the Rockdale Avenue Temple in Cincinnati.
