Rabbi E. Sternheim has been appointed a member of the newly-established Butte inter-faith goodwill committee, which will cooperate with the National Conference of Jews and Christians. J. S. Cohen and William Meyer have been appointed members of the advisory committee. Norman Winstine is Jewish co-chairman for the Helena committee.

In a statement issued the committee emphasizes a wish to show a “sense of comradeship” and the need for conferring in issues of common concern. “The confusion of the time,” the statement declares, “offers to these communities an opportunity to achieve a deeper understanding and appreciation of one another. It also challenges them to emphasize in their moral and religious outlook the great common principles they believe to be the basis of our civilization.”
