Rabbi Elazer Reuven Muskin, 61, spiritual leader of the Beth Hamedrosh Hagodol Congregation in Chicago for 30 years and vice-president of the Union of Orthodox Rabbis of the United States and Canada, died here last night in Beth Israel Hospital. He had been visiting relatives in New York.
Rabbi Muskin also was a founder and vice-president of the Hebrew Theological College of Chicago and a former president of the Mizrachi Organization of Chicago. He was born in Lithuania and educated in the Slobodka Yeshiva. After his ordination, he came to the United States.
