Rabbi Meyer Franco, the last of the three Sephardic rabbis of Hebron, is dead here at the age of 65. He had been ailing since the August riots of 1929 when more than a score of Jews were butchered in the Hebron massacre. He never recovered from the shock of having witnessed the murder of his two colleagues, Rabbis Hassun and Castel.
