Rabbi Harry Joshua Stern was formally inducted as Rabbi of Temple Emanu-El, Westmount, on Friday. The Rabbi is the successor to Rabbi Herbert J. Samuel, who died last summer.
Rabbi Stern was introduced to the congregation by Maxwell Goldstein, K.C., honorary president. Rabbi Stern is a graduate of the Hebrew Union College at Cincinnati, and served previous to coming here at Uniontown, Pa.
Rabbi Ferdinand Isserman, of Holy Blossom congregation, Toronto, performed the induction ceremony.
