Rabbi Meier Hildesheimer, aged head of the Berlin rabbinical seminary who died in Berlin yesterday, was in London two weeks ago and attended meetings for the German relief fund being raised by British Jews. Dr. Hildesheimer returned to Germany with funds for the rabbinical schools in Germany.
Dr. Hildesheimer was seventy years old and had been ill only a short time. He was spiritual leader of the Congregation Adas Israel in Berlin and was prominently identified with many phases of German Jewish life.
