Funeral services were held yesterday morning for Rabbi Ignatz Roth, who died at the People’s Hospital. The services took place at the Shearith Zedek Congregation and Rabbi Klein officiated. Rabbi Roth, who was 64 years old at the time of his death, was interred at Mount Zion Cemetery, Maspeth, L. I.
Rabbi Roth was born in Roumania and received his rabbinical training in Hungarian Yeshivas, where he occupied several pulpits. Ten years ago, he came to the United States, in response to a call from a Cleveland congregation. Since 1925, he had been religious supervisor of the Hebrew Sheltering and Immigrant Aid Society.
