Rabbi Israel Miller, chairman of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations, announced Tuesday that the Anti-Defamation League of B’nai B’rith and Women’s American ORT have been admitted as members in the Conference. The total membership is now 33 groups. In addition, Rabbi Miller presented Jacob Stein, immediate past president of the Conference, the Jerusalem Medal on behalf of Mayor Teddy Kollek. Israeli Ambassador Simcha Dinitz presented an off-the-record briefing to the assembled Conference leaders.
