Rabbi Leonard W. Stern, of New Hyde Park will join the theology department of St. John’s University next February to teach an undergraduate course is “contemporary Judaism”, the University announced today. The course is an elective open to both Catholic and non-Catholic students. Rabbi Stern was ordained in 1954 by Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion and serves as spiritual leader of Temple Shalom Congregation in Floral Park.
