Rabbi S. Joshua Kohn has been called by the Bethel Synagogue and Center of this city to occupy its pulpit. Rabbi Kohn has just returned from an extended trip to the Holy Land and while there he attended the spring session of the Hebrew University, visited the colonies and all the Jewish settlements of Palestine.
Rabbi Kohn is a graduate of the Jewish Theological Seminary of the class of 1925. Since his graduation he has been rabbi in Philadelphia, occupying the pulpit of the West Philadelphia Jewish Community Center. He was president of the West Philadelphia Zionist District, and vice-president of the Philadelphia Young Judea for four years. He helped to organize the Avukah chapter at the University of Pennsylvania and was on the first administrative committee of the Avukah.
