Rabbi Isachar Lewin of Trenton, N.J., was elected president of the Hapoel Hamizrachi of America last night, at the closing session of the annual convention of the organization.
The convention adopted a resolution supporting the present school system in Israel and opposing any attempt to change the status quo. Another resolution calls for strengthening Hapoel Hamizrachi religious educational activities in the United States.
