Dr. Joshua Liebman has been elected rabbi of Congregation Kehilath Ansche Maarov, Chicago’s oldest reform congregation. He succeeds Dr. Solomon B. Freehof, who goes to Pittsburgh.
For the past three years Rabbi Liebman has been commuting on week-ends from Cincinnati to Lafayette, Indiana, where he occupied the pulpit of Temple Israel.
He will deliver his first sermon here during the High Holidays next September.
