Rabbi Louis Witt, Rabbi of Shaare Emeth Congregation, St. Louis, Mo., for the past eight years, has resigned to accept a pulpit in Dayton, Ohio. Rabbi Witt’s resignation, it is reported, is due to the proposed Amalgamation of the three Reform congregations of St. Louis and the approaching street widening project which will destroy part of the congregational building.
