Rabbi Abraham Bick who was yesterday refused permission to enter Canada to address a public rally of the Canadian-Soviet Friendship Council, was today back in New York. He said that the Canadian immigration authorities had made him take a return plane from Toronto when entry was refused on the grounds that he had attended the Vienna peace conference last December.
Rabbi Bick has not headed a synagogue in the past few years. He writes for the New York Morning Freiheit, Yiddish left-wing daily. He was to have appeared on the same platform as the Rev. Dr. Hewlett Johnson, Dean of Canterbury, known as the “Red Dean.”
