Dr. Kaufman Kohler was elected honorary president and Rabbi Abram Simon, Washington, D.C. president of the Central Conference of Rabbis at the concluding session of the convention held here.
Rabbi Wolsey of Cleveland was chosen vice-president; Rabbi Morris Newfield, Birmingham, treasurer; Rabbi Marcusson, recording secretary.
The conference went on record as approving President Harding’s proposal for a world court. The conference also approved a project for the publication of a “practical” edition of the Bible.
A resolution condemning the Soviet attitude and persecution of religions was also adopted.
