In an address before Newburgh Zionists, Rabbi Jacob Sonderling of New York warned against German emigres in Palestine carrying the bitterness of persecution along with them. “The Jew,” he said, “returns to Palestine as he left it, with nothing but the Bible.” Dr. Sonderling was introduced by Rabbi Maurice J. Bloom, and Sol M. Reiter presided over the meting.
