More than 6,000 persons are expected to attend the sixty-second annual meeting of the National Conference of Social Work which opens here Sunday. Rabbi Philip S. Bernstein of Temple B’rith Kodesh, Rochester, N. Y., will be the principal Jewish speaker.
Rabbi Bernstein, who this year worked with Father T. Lawrason Riggs, Catholic chaplain, and Dr. Everett R. Clinchy, Presbyterian minister, in building up religious tolerance throughout the country, will speak on his work at the conference.
Among the other 300 speakers will be Dorothy C. Kahn, Philadelphia relief administration; Ruth Z. Bernstein of the National Council of Naturalization and Citizenship; Abraham Goldfeld of New York; Jacob Kepecs, superintendent of the Chicago Jewish Home Finding Society; Harry L. Lurie, executive director of the Bureau of Jewish Social Research, New York; Deborah Rosenblum of the Jewish Board of Guardians, New York, and Harry Feinberg of the Detroit Jewish Social Service Bureau.
