Rabbi Urges World Parley of Religious Leaders to Call for Destruction of Nuclear Weapons

An international conference of world religious leaders who would make a “moral call for the destruction of nuclear weapons before the nuclear weapons destroy humanity,” has been asked for by Rabbi Dr. Abraham F. Hershberg, president of the Union of Rabbis of Latin America and chairman of the International Committee of Religious Freedom. They should also call upon the countries behind the Iron Curtain to grant religious freedom to all their peoples especially their minorities who suffer so much,” he said.
