Rabbi Jacob Bienefeld will appear in the First District Magistrate’s Court this morning, when the District Attorney’s office will try to show cause why he should be bound over to the Special Sessions Court on a charge of having solicited a charity contribution from Rudy Vallee during a telephone conversation, while using the name of a prominent jurist without permission.
Bienefeld’s son was arrested by Detective Harry Lichtblau when he went to collect Vallee’s contribution, the prosecution charges.
