Rabbi Joseph Gitin of Temple Emanu-El will deliver the invocation and benediction at the commencement exercises of the evening session of Hutchinson Central High School Monday evening at the school auditorium. M. Smith Thomas is principal of the school.
This is the first time that a rabbi has been invited to officiate at any high school graduation in this city.

With, The passing of Mrs. Laura Hausdorff a real patriarchical type of a true orthodox Jewish woman is being mourned. Twenty-three years ago with the loss of her late husband. Heinrich Chanoch Hausdorff, a businessman and a well known Talmudical scholar, she was left with a family of twelve small children whom she raised despite severe pecuniary difficulties, to true orthodox observant members of the Jewish faith. It was indeed an extraordinary sight to see twelve children assembled at the bier of their mother at the interment in Baltimore at the grave of her late husband. Rabbi Israel Tabak of the Congregation. “Shareh Zion” Park Heights Avenue, of Baltimore, who officia{SPAN}###{/SPAN} spoke as a friend of the family, eulogizing her as the “real true Jewish mother,” Who not only acted as mothen, but as father and teacher. The devotion shown her by her children throughout their lives, was an inspiring sight to others.
