Rabbi Zevi Cohen, veteran scholar and Chief Rabbi of Montreal, was tendered a reception by a large group of Jewish Communal leaders of New York on the occasion of his 70th birthday at the Mt. Vernon Home of Harry P. Fierst, associate treasurer of the Zionist Organization of America, who is a son-in-law of Rabbi Cohen and host to the distinguished guest during his visit at Mt. Vernon. The toastmaster was Yehuda Siegel, and the speakers included Rabbi Joseph M. Margulies, Dr. S. Bernstein, Bernard Stone, M. Ribalow, Nehemia Mark, M. Ch. Tausner. Rabbi Cohen returned yesterday to Montreal where a reception of national magnitude is being prepared for him by the Jewish community there.
