The Rabbinical Assembly of America, of which about 200 Conservative rabbis are members, will open its annual convention here tomorrow.

Many matters of vital importance to American and world Jewry will be taken up by the convention. The following subjects affecting American Jewish life will be taken up at the various sessions: “The Community Federation and Jewish Religious Work,” “The Community Center and the Synagogue,” “A Federation for the Support of Jewish Religious Organizations” and “The Relations of the Jewish to the non-Jewish Community.” “The Rabbi’s Part in Future Palestine Work” is a subject to which an entire session will be devoted. A session will also be devoted to the problem of the “Agunah” (deserted wife) and to the subject of the Jewish liturgy and prayer book.

Rabbi Israel M. Goldman of Temple Emanuel, Providence, chairman of the convention committee, reports that about 150 rabbis of Conservative synagogues from every part of the United States and Canada are expected at this Rabbinical Assembly convention.
