A rabbinical delegation led by Chief Rabbi Isaac Herzog called on President Weizmann here yesterday and congratulated him on his election to the Presidency of Israel.
Responding to the rabbis’ greetings, Dr. Weizmann told members of the delegation: “Do as in the days of the Prophets. Do not hesitate to criticize the President whenever this is warranted.” Chief Rabbi Herzog, at the conclusion of the visit, placed his hands on President Weizmann’s head and pronounced a traditional blessing.
Meanwhile, preparations are new “being completed in Tel Aviv for Dr. Weizmann’s visit to the city on Tuesday, when he will be the municipality’s guest of honor.
