Shipments of Argentine beef to Israel may be suspended if the Israel rabbinical authorities support criticisms of kashruth here made by a rabbi and a ritual slaughterer sent to Argentine by the Israel Chief Rabbinate.

After inspecting one slaughterhouse here the mission made technical objections on matters of kashruth law which are not universally recognized by rabbinical authorities. Beef for Israel is subject to the same kashruth conditions as meat consumed locally by Orthodox Jews in Argentina. Meanwhile, it was learned that 1,000 tons of meat are scheduled to be shipped to Israel by the end of this month and 2,000 tons during March.

The greatest participation thus far of South American capital in Israel’s economy was announced here today by Alfredo Korn, prominent Argentine industrialist, upon his return from a visit to Israel. Sr, Korn revealed that he, in collaboration with Enrique Schuster, another Argentine industrialist, had established a company in partnership with Solel Boneh, the Histadrut construction cooperative.
