The conference of Rumanian Rabbis has published a statement to Rumanian Jewry denouncing the Israeli Government, according to reports in Rumanian newspapers arriving here.
The statement, as quoted by the Rumanian newspapers, declared that “the leaders of Israel serve a policy which is opposed to peace, opposed to the vital interests of the state of Israel and of the Jewish masses of the whole world and is also against our religious principles.” The statement also asked Rumanian Jews to sign an appeal to the Big Five Powers to conclude a peace agreement.
