The 41st annual convention of the Rabbinical Assembly of America, which closed yesterday, decided to petition the British Ambassador “to permit the organization of a Jewish Palestinian army” and to redouble its efforts “to assist the Jewish community of Palestine morally, spiritually and materially.”
Rabbi Leon S. Lang, Philadelphia, was reelected president and Dr. Louis M. Levitzky, Newark, vice-president. Newly-elected officers are Rabbi Harry Schwartz, Hempstead, L.I., treasurer, Rabbi Lewis B. Grossman, Mt. Vernon, N.Y., recording secretary, and Rabbi Max-well Farber, Philadelphia, corresponding secretary.
