Rabbis M. S. Margolies and Israel Rosenberg are supervising the manufacture of Hanford butter, a Borden product, which is certified to be kosher for Passover precisely as it is for all other parts of the year.
The butter is packed in special kosher packages bearing the names and seals of the two rabbis. For Passover the container will have a special seal and label.
A statement by the Borden firm discloses that, unlike producers of other kosher articles, it does not charge extra for its kosher butter, the differential being absorbed by the milk company itself instead of being passed on to the consumer.
