Rabin assassin Yigal Amir demanded the right to hug his fiancee during jailhouse visits. Amir, who is serving a life sentence for killing Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin in 1995, fell foul of the Prisons Service last year after announcing he had married Larissa Trimbobbler in absentia. In a petition he filed Sunday with Tel Aviv District Court, Amir accused wardens of discrimination after they allowed him to hug visiting relatives but banned such intimate contact with Trimbobbler.
