The executive council of the South African Board of Jewish Deputies today criticised the “narrow and exclusively racial approach” of the recently-formed Afrikaaner Economic Institute, warning that its tactics “seem to lead inescapably to an ultimate form of boycott.”
The report also deplored efforts of the parliamentary opposition to create a Jewish issue in the debates on the war and other subjects. It expressed appreciation to Justice Minister Steyn for public refutation of allegations against the Jews.
