Radio stations, the telegraph and telephone companies, and the national capital’s trolley and bus systems are “defense industries” and cannot discriminate against Jewish or alien job-seekers, the War Manpower Commission ruled today.

The ruling was made at the request of Dr. Malcolm S. MacLean, chairman of the President’s Committee on Fair Employment Practice, which operates under the War Manpower Commission.
