A system of special cards called “Abstamungs-nachweis”, tantamount to racial passports, has been introduced for all officials and employees of state and municipal institutions in Germany. The new system goes into effect January 1.
Cards will be printed by the government printing works and will be considered official documents.
The system is intended to introduce a unified method of establishing the origin of the bearer, and contains space for details of the history of parents, grandparents and wives. This will necessitate a new and complete registration of all officials and government employees all over the country.
