A unique radio project, unprecedented in the history of international broadcasting, was officially launched today when the coast-to-coast network of the National Broadcasting Company in the United States and Kol Zion–the station of the World Zionist Organization in Israel–simultaneously transmitted the first of a special series of three Eternal Light festival programs produced in Israel and prepared under the auspices of The Jewish Theological Seminary of America.
Financed jointly by the Seminary and Kol Zion, with the active cooperation of the Jewish Agency for Palestine and assistance of Elias Epstein, Overseas Director of Keren Kayzmeth LeIsrael, the Eternal Light festival series draws heavily upon Israeli talent.
