Trucks speeding through the ancient Nablus district have become so serious a problem that a special radio alarm system is being installed to catch violators of speeding laws, the police revealed today.
Radio stations will be installed along the road in Nablus, Jenin and Tulkarm. Motor trucks suspected of speeding will be clocked at one station and the time they pass will be radioed ahead to the other stations with the license numbers. Trucks that make the distance between one station and another in too short a time will be halted by the police.
