The name of the late founder of Bar-Iian University, Dr. Pinkhos Churgin, was given yesterday on the first anniversary of his death to a street in Ramat Gan, suburban site of the university. The street is near Bar-Ilan Park.
Abraham Krintizi, Mayor of Ramat Gan, and Rabbt Mordecal Nurock, member of Knesset, took part in the naming ceremony. They called Dr. Churgin a great student of Torah and science and said the suburb had been honored by his decision to establish Bar-Ilan University in Ramat Gan.
