Ranking Defense Ministry personnel and senior officers of the Israel Defense Force will go the U.S. this week to attend the biannual meeting on strategic cooperation between Israel and the U.S. The delegation will be headed by David Ivri, Director General of the Defense Ministry and Maj. Gen. Danny Yotam, head of the IDF’s planning branch.
The agenda is expected to include the IDF’s needs in the wake of the government’s cancellation of the Lavi fighter plane project, U.S. military aid to Israel, Israeli weapons procurement programs and an exchange of appraisals of the Middle East situation.
