Rear Admiral Lewis L. Strauss, chairman of the Atomic Energy Commission, has become a sponsor of the American Society for Techmion-Israel Institute of Technology, it was announced by David Rose, president of the Society.
A nationwide group composed of 14,000 scientists, engineers, technologists and industrialists. the Society provides assistance and counsel to the Technion, located in Haifa Israel the only university-rank engineering institution in the new state. The Technion, which was established in 1912, has a student body of nearly 3,000.
