The recommendations of the Ford Administration to Congress in grants and credit for Israel and its three Arab neighbors for the current fiscal year are.

Israel; — $1.5 billion in military aid; $740 million in economic assistance; $25 million in housing guarantees; $20 million for settling Soviet refugees; $15 million in agricultural commodities in the Food for Peace program.

Egypt; — $750 million in economic aid and $150 million in farm commodities; Jordan; — $175 million in military assistance, $93 million in economic aid and $8 million in farm products; Syria; — $90 million in economic aid and $20 million in food for peace.

The legislative process requires approval by the House and Senate of both authorization and appropriation measures that have to be approved by the President.
