The United Jewish Appeal, which provides the funds for a world-wide program of relief, rehabilitation and resettlement for needy and displaced Jews, has been reconstituted for the 13th consecutive year with the signing of an agreement by its three beneficiary agencies, it was announced here today.
Comprising the H.J.A. are the United Palestine Appeal, Joint Distribution Committee, and United Service for New Americans. Reconstitution of the U.J.A. campaign is undertaken annually toward the end of the calender year when representatives of the U.P.A. and the J.D.C. negotiate the outline and details of the partnership for next year’s drive. The U.S.N.A. is traditionally a beneficiary of the agreement. Announcement of the date of the U.J.A.’s annual national conference, which brings to gether representatives of organizations and communities throughout the country to map campaign policy and goals will be made shortly, it was added.
